The traditional cycling marathon around lake Neusiedl in Austria will organise the Gran Fondo World Championships in 2029. That's the reason why this year's edition had many new elements featuring the WCH being held in three seasons. Great champions like double Giro-winner Ivan Basso and Olympic champions such as Benjamin Karl (snowboard) and Martin Koch (ski jumping) lined-up at the start of the classic 125 km race. I was honoured to be the speaker of the competition, I would like to send my congratulations to all the people involved!
