The audience in Bucharest stood for the national anthem of Romania, respectively Kenya at the end of the 14. edition of the OMV PETROM Bucharest Half Marathon. Around 3500 runners came to the start of the race last Sunday. Romanian Alexandra Streja crossed the line first in the ladies' competition, while Kenyan Nixon Kiprotich Kirwa set a winning time of 1:04:32. I had the honour to present the awards ceremony and to inform the participants about all the necessary infos in four languages (RO, EN, DE, HU). I had to be careful in the way I use English because my former English teacher Katalin Kolozsváry was also among the spectators in the crowd.
