It was a pleasure to meet the best athletes of Harghita county (Transylvania, Romania). We saw some outstanding performances this year, so I was curious to find out who will receive the trophy this time. Well, the most points were collected by Mark Stoica (judo) while the best team was once again the ice hockey team Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc, which obtained the silver medal in both league and Romanian Cup last season. Congratulations!

Thousands of children came to try out sports in the third district of Budapest last Thursday. It was a unique occasion to meet coaches and representatives of clubs located in the Northern part of the Hungarian capital city. For me it was a new experience, because the majority of the interviews I took were made with young scholars under the age of 10 years. But, in the same time it was also a pleasure to see them being interested in a sporting career.

I had the honor to present the Sport Awards of Harghita County in Romania. It was a pleasure to highlight the achievements of the year and to mention the names of the athletes who brought great performances last year. As usual, Szeklers obtained World Championship medals, Balkanic podium places and many national titles. Congratulations to all of them!

It was the first ever international marathon held in the city of Brasov (Romania) last Sunday. Over 1000 runners started from the square situated next to the famous Black Church, being prepared to complete the distance of over 42 km. It was an enjoyable race, even if the weather was possibly the biggest opponent of the participants. In over 30 degrees, people had to run continuously. They succeeded, showing that sport brings joy and satisfaction! It was the same to me, I was honored to be the multilingual presenter of the Transylvanian sport event.

It was all about a friendly trip on a bicycle, starting from the 3rd district of Budapest (Óbuda). There were 531 participants departing from the main square of Óbuda in the morning of 31st May. It was an event without winners or losers, all the attention was put on spending a day without stress or headache. People came to have fun together and enjoy the last Sunday of the Spring. It all ended in a pleasant manner, it was amazing to see people smiling after riding some hours on their bikes.

My home county always had some outstanding athletes. Because it is the publicity's task to respect and acknowledge their performances, a ceremonial gala is to be held on the 20th of December. People representing different fields, disciplines and sporting areas will come together to celebrate a year full of great successes. Apart of the famous sportsmen and women, well-known officials and journalists will be there to join the ceremony. I am glad to present the event for the 4th time in 5 years.
